Ukraine is preparing for meetings in Europe this week. New decisions are expected in the interest of the Ukrainian state, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s evening address.

According to the head of state, today involved a lot of international work in preparation for this week’s meetings in Europe. Ukraine is also in communication with the team of the US President, Donald Trump.

"Air defense for Ukraine, support for Ukraine — this is a daily task, and every day we must deliver results. There will be new decisions for our state. The Ukrainian negotiating team is working 24/7," he emphasized.

Coalition of the Willing meeting

Tomorrow, January 6, a leaders’ meeting of the Coalition of the Willing will take place in France. It is expected that US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and the American leader’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will also participate.

As French President Emmanuel Macron noted, the meeting aims to agree on each country’s specific contribution within the framework of the coalition.

To prepare for the meeting, national security advisers from several countries visited Kyiv a few days ago. Their visit focused on preparing a peace plan and accompanying documents.

The work was divided into several thematic blocks. Within the security block, participants stated that the key documents were generally agreed upon and do not contradict Ukraine’s Constitution or sovereignty.

They discussed the architecture of security guarantees, where the core defense remains the Armed Forces of Ukraine, supported by multinational forces under European leadership and US assistance.

Separate work was carried out on a military document outlining support for and restoration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, monitoring compliance with agreements, and responding to potential violations.
