Zelenskyy on $105 billion aid from US: Every dollar accounted for

Ukraine has received over $100 billion in aid from the United States, and every dollar is documented. Both the US and Ukrainian sides conduct audits to ensure proper use of this support, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Daily Wire founder Ben Shapiro, the New York Post reports.
According to Zelenskyy, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has received approximately $105 billion in US aid in the form of weapons and other security assistance.
The President emphasized that all of this aid has undergone checks by the American side to verify that it was used appropriately. He also added that Ukraine conducts its own internal audits.
"I have my own internal audit, and my country is clearly documenting how (much - ed.) assistance was provided," Zelenskyy said.
Open to inspections
The head of state noted that Russia tried to undermine US support for Ukraine at the beginning of the war.
“Russia attempted to undermine the support and assistance coming from the United States, and they wanted to undermine this through fake news, through other tools. That is why we told it once that we are open, send inspectors,” the President stated.
Zelenskyy also stressed that there is no evidence that US weapons packages went "somewhere abroad," as some critics of the aid have speculated.
Positive impact for the US
The President also noted that aid to Ukraine has had a positive effect on the United States’ defense capabilities. Ukraine has been sharing everything it has learned about modern warfare and weapons development with the US.
"The United States has received complete and open information on the drones. This is the new weapons that was not available to the United States before the war. Now the United States has received all this experience, all this development,” Zelenskyy explained.
Additionally, the Pentagon significantly ramped up production of critical ammunition during the war - supplies that were rapidly depleted during the early phases of aid to Ukraine. American military analysts have learned valuable lessons about combat operations on a "hypertransparent" modern battlefield.
US military aid
Zelenskyy recently stated that Ukraine has yet to reach a new agreement with the United States on a new military aid package. Kyiv has also not received a response to its proposal to purchase Patriot missile systems from the US.
According to the President, the aid currently arriving was approved by Congress over a year ago.
Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal reported that Ukrainian officials are concerned Donald Trump may blame Kyiv for derailing peace talks with Russia. If that happens, they fear the US leader could halt further military support to Ukraine.
