Leaders of parliaments and governments must reinforce the necessity of supplying Ukraine with more powerful air defense systems and missiles, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated during his address to the 71st Annual Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

"Russia must learn it cannot terrorize any country with impunity," he said.

Zelenskyy recalled that he had discussed the details of cooperation with US President Donald Trump twice in recent days. The talks focused in particular on air defense, Patriot systems, and Tomahawk missiles, as well as the necessary energy equipment and the refusal of partners to purchase Russian oil.

The President emphasized that even the political arguments of certain countries cannot justify funding that strengthens Putin’s position.

"You cannot be part of the free world and at the same time fund those who want to destroy it," he said.

He also thanked the countries that joined the PURL program: the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Canada, the Baltic states, Belgium, Luxembourg, Iceland, and Slovenia. Zelenskyy urged to ensure the rapid delivery of the promised contributions, as "they save lives." He also called on other members of the Alliance to join PURL, noting that this would help Ukraine.

"Air terror is Putin’s last move. We must stop it. Deny him victories on the ground and in the sky – then real diplomacy becomes possible," Zelenskyy stressed.

Zelenskyy also stated today that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin hopes to use terror to break Ukraine’s resistance. In Zelenskyy’s view, this must not be allowed — decisions on the supply of air defense systems and missiles must be made in the near future.
