Zelenskyy stresses need for international security guarantees during meeting with MPs

According to the publication's sources, Zelenskyy's meeting with the faction lasted about two hours. It was held in a question-and-answer format, with lawmakers mostly asking questions of the president. Around 150 MPs attended the meeting.

Sources specified that a significant part of the discussion concerned the war. The president said that Ukraine is seeking security guarantees, primarily in the continuation of military assistance from allies and support for the army.

Zelenskyy also said that there are certain forces in Ukrainian politics that will try, through the entourage of US President Donald Trump, to convey to him an alternative point of view that is not in Ukraine's interests.

In addition, the president stated that he wants the war to end as soon as possible, but he must also prepare for the worst-case scenario. By this logic, the authorities are forced to allocate a significant budget for defense and the army next year.

Sources reported that other topics of discussion included communication with the heads of regional military administrations, as many MPs from the faction have difficult relations with them. Issues of internally displaced persons and children with special needs were also raised.

Election topics or any new personnel changes were not discussed.

Sources clarified that this meeting was initiated to improve communication with the faction. At the same time, MPs agreed with the president to hold another such meeting, which will take place between October 6 and 10.

Zelenskyy's meeting with the Servant of the People faction

Earlier, on September 16, sources of RBC-Ukraine reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would hold a meeting with the Servant of the People faction. Sources specified that the meeting was expected to take place in a teambuilding format.
