Ukraine will share data on children kidnapped by Russia with its partners. The first list will be on the table for all leaders, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, foreign intelligence has completed the task of locating specific, precise addresses of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is providing partners with lists of children who need to be returned.
"This is a sensitive issue, and a lot of quiet diplomatic work is ongoing. To prevent any attempts by Russia to claim they supposedly don’t know anything about our children, we are working to provide even the addresses. The first such list - over 300 names and addresses of kidnapped children - will be on the table for all leaders who are helping us," the President said.
Kidnapping of Ukrainian children
Earlier, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets reported that since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, over 19,500 Ukrainian children have been deported to Russia.
Meanwhile, according to President Zelenskyy, Ukraine has already managed to return 1,625 children from Russia, thanks to the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
Ukraine is also asking partners to help return all kidnapped children.
Notably, the deportation of Ukrainian children was the reason the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued arrest warrants for Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Russia's commissioner for children's rights, Maria Lvova-Belova.
Recently, it was reported that the number of countries willing to help return Ukrainian children deported to Russia has grown. This also includes children still in occupied territories.
Additionally, a bipartisan group of US senators is calling for Russia to be recognized as a state sponsor of terrorism due to the mass deportation of Ukrainian children from temporarily occupied territories.
