Zelenskyy links Europe's migration crisis to Russian strikes on ships

Russian attacks on ships threaten global security
Zelenskyy outlined the key topics discussed during the meeting, including:
- logistical challenges;
- Russian strikes on Odesa and the surrounding region;
- attacks on port infrastructure and the Black Sea maritime corridor.
"Effective cooperation on grain exports and ensuring normal logistics is a contribution to global food security and to preventing a cost-of-living crisis from spreading in countries and regions bordering Europe, particularly in the Middle East and countries in North Africa," he said.
Europe's migration crisis
Zelenskyy warned that any social instability in those regions caused by rising food prices would create new risks for Europe.
"Every such crisis in regions neighboring Europe triggers additional waves of migration. Therefore, genuinely guaranteeing food security and protecting against Russian terror targeting the agricultural sector and maritime trade routes is in the direct interest of all of us in Europe," he said.
Migrant surge in Spain's Ceuta
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Ceuta, Spain's autonomous enclave in North Africa, is experiencing its biggest migration crisis in years. Up to 50,000 migrants illegally entered there from Morocco within 24 hours, including about 7,000 minors.
The situation in Ceuta remains tense, with army units deployed to help maintain order.
At least 27 migrants have been confirmed dead while attempting to swim from Morocco to Spanish territory.
Italy has also said that, in response to the migration crisis in Ceuta, its government is considering temporarily suspending the Schengen Agreement with Spain.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that Ukrainian intelligence had obtained information about Russia's plans for new strikes on Ukraine, including attacks on ships. Zelenskyy said Ukraine is preparing countermeasures.
In addition, the Ukrainian president urged US President Donald Trump to secure permission for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to use the Starlink system inside Russia.
