Zelenskyy: Key meetings ahead to bring Ukraine closer to peace

In the coming days, significant meetings could take place that may bring Ukraine closer to peace, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address.
"Very important meetings may take place in the coming days - meetings that should bring Ukraine closer to peace. An unconditional ceasefire is needed," Zelenskyy stated.
He also emphasized the need for real pressure on Russia to make it either accept the American proposal for a ceasefire and move toward peace or Ukraine's proposal, "any proposal that can work and guarantee a reliable, immediate, and unconditional ceasefire, followed by a just peace and security guarantees."
"Diplomacy must work. And we are doing everything to ensure that diplomacy becomes meaningful and finally works. Finally," the President added.
Peace plans of the US, Europe and Ukraine
Reuters reported today on the peace plan proposed by the United States. According to Washington's idea, it legally recognizes Crimea as part of Russia.
The US plan also assumes that Ukraine will abandon its aspirations to become part of NATO.
At the same time, Ukraine and European countries have shared their ideas with the US on ending the war with Russia, responding to US President Donald Trump's peace plan.
The joint peace plan from Ukraine and Europe includes four key points: a ceasefire, security guarantees for Ukraine, territorial issues, and economic matters.
