Zelenskyy intrigues with statement about strengthening of Ukraine's air defense by USA
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has intrigued with a statement that the USA has taken another step to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
"I thank Germany for the Patriot (missile system), which is already in Ukraine. Strong news. And another strong piece of news: thank you to the United States for another step towards strengthening our air defense, our Patriots. We continue working, and there will definitely be new decisions," Zelenskyy stated during his evening address.
At the same time, at the meeting of the presidium of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, the president also emphasized the help from the States.
"Between us, without details, but as of today, we have already received reinforcement separately from the US I also want to thank (for that). The reinforcement has already taken place," he added.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that there could be news regarding the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense ahead of the NATO summit.
Similar information was reported by Reuters, citing a source in the US State Department, which stated that "good news" regarding air defense for Ukraine could be announced during the Alliance summit.
