President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrives at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The Ukrainian delegation is meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, according to Reuters, The Guardian, and the Office of the President of Ukraine.

According to the Presidential Office, Zelenskyy began his meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on the sidelines of the WEF. The Head of State expressed gratitude for the Alliance's steadfast support in defending against Russian invasion.

Zelenskyy and Stoltenberg also discussed the situation on the battlefield. The President informed the Secretary-General about the recent massive Russian shelling of Ukrainian cities and communities. The Head of State emphasized the importance of further strengthening the Ukrainian air defense system.

They also discussed other defense needs of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy and Stoltenberg emphasized the importance of signing a bilateral agreement on security cooperation between Ukraine and the UK in the framework of the G7 Joint Declaration adopted at the previous NATO Summit in Vilnius.

The President spoke about the continuation of work on similar documents with other partners and emphasized the importance of the immediate signing of such agreements that will be in force until Ukraine joins NATO.

The President of Ukraine and the NATO Secretary General discussed preparations for the next NATO Summit in Washington. The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine expects decisions to be made that will bring its membership in NATO closer.

Western media also reported on the meeting between Zelenskyy and Stoltenberg.

Reuters wrote that the President of Ukraine and his delegation are meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and are having a dialogue about what immediate assistance is needed for Ukraine. The issue of rebuilding our country was also raised.

According to The Guardian, the President of Ukraine arrived for a closed meeting at the WEF.

Later, the agency added that Zelenskyy met with CEOs at a session called CEOs for Ukraine at the World Economic Forum. Later, he will give a speech.

World Economic Forum in Davos

The World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos started yesterday, January 15, and will last until Friday, January 19. The event has brought together politicians from over 100 countries, businessmen, and public figures.

Before the official opening of the forum, a meeting of national security advisors on the Ukrainian "peace formula" was held on January 14. It was attended by 81 countries and international organizations.

Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will deliver a special address at the WEF.
