Zelenskyy explains effect of strikes on Russian territory
Russian President Vladimir Putin is reducing strikes on Ukraine at the moment when Kyiv begins to target Russian Federation territory. He fears that such a "response" will not be liked by his society, according to an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Le Parisien French media outlet.
"Undoubtedly, Russia is striking and will continue to strike distribution stations, as well as gas storage facilities, etc. Well, we will defend as best we can," said the president.
He noted that Ukraine needs more air defense systems, more physical defense infrastructure, and more long-range capabilities for the military.
"Because Putin is reducing strikes on Ukraine at the moment when you start hitting Russian Federation territory. He is afraid that his society will be dissatisfied with this. He is very afraid that he could lose electricity and gas supplies. With such barbarians, we must act in ways that are understandable to him," emphasized Zelenskyy.
Strikes on Russian territory are not the only thing that frightens Russia. For example, yesterday in Moscow, Russian General Igor Kirillov was eliminated. According to sources of RBC-Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is behind the liquidation of General Igor Kirillov in Moscow.
Reserve Major of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksii Hetman, stated that this situation greatly frightened Russia and explained why it happened.
