President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre to discuss Ukraine's priority needs, according to the President's Telegram post.

"I spoke with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and thanked him for Norway's decision to increase support for Ukraine next year from $1.4 billion to $3.2 billion, with part of this funding allocated for the production of Ukrainian drones and weapons," Zelenskyy said.

The President highlighted the unanimous backing of this decision by all parliamentary forces in Norway, calling it a true testament to the unwavering solidarity of the Norwegian people with Ukraine.

"We also discussed other priority needs for Ukraine, including generators, energy equipment, and additional air defense systems in response to Russian attacks on our energy infrastructure," Zelenskyy added.

Norway's assistance to Ukraine

Norway remains one of Ukraine's key allies. By the end of the year, it may transfer six F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Recently, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre announced his government’s intention to allocate $2.7 billion in aid to Ukraine, instead of the $1.3 billion originally planned in the state budget.

Yesterday, it became known that that Norway's parliamentary parties agreed to allocate 35 billion Norwegian kroner ($3.2 billion) in aid to Ukraine for 2025.
