Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while en route to Florida, announced a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and an online meeting with European leaders.

“Yes, we are currently on a plane heading to Florida, to the United States of America. On the way, we will stop in Canada, where I will have a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Carney,” Zelenskyy said.

He added that an online conversation with European leaders is also planned.

“We will discuss all issues, provide updates, and exchange details of the documents that I will be discussing with the President of the United States,” Zelenskyy told journalists on Saturday.

The president also noted that he would raise sensitive issues contained in these documents during talks with leaders.

Zelenskyy–Trump meeting

As previously reported, on Sunday, December 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to hold talks with US President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.

According to media reports, during the meeting Zelenskyy plans to try to resolve key disagreements over the draft peace agreement. He has emphasized that he will definitely raise the issue of territories, including discussions on Donbas and the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant. European partners will also join the talks online.

At the same time, CNN reports that European officials are cautiously hoping for a positive outcome from the negotiations, while also preparing for potential unexpected scenarios.
