Zelenskyy confirms upcoming US trip, timing still being finalized

The United States has several plans for ending the war. A meeting between Ukrainian and US officials is most likely to take place in the United States in the near future, this was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy while speaking to journalists.
According to Zelenskyy, a conversation with the US side took place the previous day involving Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. Ukraine was represented by Kyrylo Budanov, Serhii Kyslytsia, and Rustem Umerov.
Zelenskyy said the parties discussed the possibility of a future meeting.
"We discussed the possibility of a meeting, and the United States has several plans for ending the war. We will have a meeting. I think they want to share these plans with both the Russians and us," the president said.
While the exact date has not yet been set, Zelenskyy indicated that the meeting is expected to take place soon.
"When exactly this meeting will happen, I don't know yet. I think it will most likely take place in the United States with the American side. There are several possible dates; we just need to make sure everyone's schedules align. I think the meeting will happen within the next few days or within a week," he added.
On July 22, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with Donald Trump's special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The sides discussed ideas for resuming negotiations with Russia in an effort to accelerate an end to the war.
According to RBC-Ukraine sources, Washington is now awaiting confirmation of the schedule for Zelenskyy's upcoming visit to the United States. The main topic of discussion was the possibility of restarting dialogue aimed at ending Russia's war against Ukraine.
