Zelenskyy confirms Сoalition of Willing meeting and invites Portugal

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the meeting of the Сoalition of the Willing, which will take place in Paris on September 4. He also invited Portugal to join, according to the president’s Telegram channel.
As Zelenskyy noted, today he held a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of Portugal, Luís Montenegro.
"Portugal has been helping us since the very beginning of this full-scale war, and we in Ukraine truly feel it. I expressed gratitude for all the support provided, including defense assistance and funding for the Superhero Schools, thanks to which our children are able to study while undergoing treatment," the president said.
The leaders discussed diplomatic efforts and the development of security guarantees for Ukraine.
"On Thursday, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing will take place, where we will discuss the prepared provisions for ensuring security. We are counting on Portugal’s participation in them. One of the main components of security guarantees we see is Ukraine’s membership in the EU," Zelenskyy emphasized.
The Ukrainian president and the Portuguese prime minister also talked about the participation of Portuguese businesses in Ukraine’s recovery and joint drone production.
"We agreed that our teams will work through all available opportunities for such cooperation in detail. I invited the prime minister to visit Ukraine," the head of state added.
