Zelenskyy clashes with Trump and Vance about Russia-Ukraine war

Yesterday, February 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived on a visit to the United States of America.

The head of state met with US senators and US President Donald Trump.

However, during a conversation with journalists, Zelenskyy and Trump quarreled over the Ukraine war.

Zelensky reminded that the war in Ukraine had not ended under Barack Obama, Donald Trump, or Joe Biden. This provoked a sharp reaction from US Vice President JD Vance, and then from Trump.

After the dispute, the Ukrainian president left the White House early. The signing of the agreement on rare earth metals between Ukraine and the United States was canceled.

Meanwhile, the American leader said that Zelenskyy was not ready for peace.

"In Ukraine, cash-based programming - a key feature of the humanitarian response, reaching 1 million people in 2024 - has been suspended in key regions," Guterres explained.
