Zelenskyy can meet Nawrocki for first time in coming days

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may hold his first meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, RMF24 reports.
From September 21 to 24, Nawrocki will visit the US, where he will participate in the General Assembly’s general debate. In his speech, the Polish leader plans to focus on security issues, international relations, and regional challenges.
According to Marcin Przydacz, Minister in the Chancellery of the Polish President, bilateral and multilateral meetings are planned on the sidelines of the session.
In particular, Nawrocki is expected to meet with US President Donald Trump.
Regarding the possibility of a meeting with the President of Ukraine, he explained that the UN assembly hall is compact, making contact between politicians in such a setting inevitable.
“So, certainly, at least a brief exchange of views and opinions with the President of Ukraine could take place there,” the Minister said.
This could become the first in-person conversation between Zelenskyy and Nawrocki since the latter was elected President of Poland.
UN General Assembly
The 80th milestone session of the UN General Assembly will open in New York and run from September 23 to 29. More than 100 heads of state are expected to attend.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi stated that during the UN General Assembly, President Volodymyr Zelensky will have a busy schedule - about 15 multilateral events and over 20 bilateral meetings, including with foreign heads of state and government.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio mentioned a possible meeting between Donald Trump and Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the General Assembly.
Zelenskyy himself has also not ruled out a possible meeting with US President Trump in New York.
