The Russians today openly demonstrated their desire to continue the war against Ukraine. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin can see, based on Iran’s example, what threats await similar regimes, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during an evening address.

The head of state said that he has instructed Ukrainian officials to prepare additional opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing. This will help strengthen Europe’s security architecture.

Zelenskyy reminded that the Kremlin no longer hides its intention to continue the war. This either indicates that Western pressure has not yet produced the expected effect or that the Russian authorities are trying to create an appearance of resilience.

"The Russian economy is already degrading. Let’s support this process even more. Ayatollah Putin can see from his friends in Iran what happens to such regimes and to what backwardness they bring their countries. There will be more of our decisions to restore security," he added.

Cynical statement by Peskov

Earlier, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Russia does not want an unconditional ceasefire with Ukraine, at least not for 30 days.

According to Peskov, Russia currently has a strategic advantage and "does not intend to lose it." The press secretary also threatened that the Russian army will continue to advance on the frontlines.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that he supposedly does not want Ukraine’s capitulation.
