Zelenskyy calls on partners to help protect Ukraine's skies like in Middle East
To effectively defend Ukrainian cities and villages, it is necessary to join forces with European partners, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He notes that Russian missiles and drones have struck various regions of Ukraine today, including Volyn, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, and Ternopil regions.
Zelenskyy emphasizes that the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces could do much more to protect civilian lives if the aviation of European neighbors operated together with Ukrainian F-16s and air defense systems.
"If such unity has worked effectively in the Middle East, it should work in Europe, where life has the same value," the President highlights.
Russian massive shelling of Ukraine
Russian invaders launched a massive air attack on Ukraine. During the night and morning of August 26, the Russians launched dozens of missiles and drones at Ukraine. The Russian attack resulted in power outages in many Ukrainian cities, which in turn caused water supply to be cut off.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that Russia fired more than a hundred missiles of various types and about a hundred Shahed drones at Ukraine.
