Zelenskyy arrives in Warsaw, meeting with Prime Minister Tusk underway
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Warsaw, where he began a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, according to the Presidential Office.
"Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Tusk will meet face-to-face and in an expanded format with the participation of delegations," the statement said.
They are holding talks on continuing defense cooperation, support for Ukraine on its path to European integration, and expectations from the NATO summit to be held in Washington.
Zelenskyy and Tusk will also discuss Poland's participation in Ukraine's recovery, trade development, and humanitarian cooperation.
They will also sign an agreement on security cooperation between Ukraine and Poland.
Zelenskyy's visit to Poland
Recently, Polish media reported that Zelenskyy would visit Warsaw on the eve of the NATO summit to sign a security agreement.
At the end of June, it became known that Ukraine and Poland had held the final round of talks on security assurances.
Earlier, Tusk said that Kyiv and Warsaw would sign an agreement on security commitments before the NATO summit.
