Zelenskyy arrives in US with one clear message for Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in the United States for a scheduled meeting with US President Donald Trump and immediately outlined the main focus of the talks, according to a statement posted by Zelenskyy.
Air defense is the main topic of the talks
"I am already in the United States. My schedule includes meetings with President Trump, his team, and those who can support our defense. Priority No. 1 is ballistic missile defense and strategic cooperation with America," Zelenskyy wrote.
The president stressed that strengthening Ukraine's air defenses and deepening cooperation with the United States are currently the top priorities of the visit.
Honoring the memory of Senator Lindsey Graham
"Of course, on behalf of all of Ukraine, we will honor the memory of Lindsey Graham and join everyone at the ceremony in Washington to remember his efforts for security and freedom in the Euro-Atlantic region and other parts of the world," the president said.
CNN reports that Trump will focus on the ongoing peace process related to Russia's war against Ukraine during the meeting.
The funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham, who supported Ukraine, will also take place there.
It became known a day earlier that all 100 US senators had been invited to meet with Zelenskyy.
The invitation comes as the Senate considers the "bone-crushing sanctions" package against Russia that the late Senator Lindsey Graham previously championed.
Journalists have learned the exact time of the meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump. According to sources, the leaders are expected to meet in the afternoon Kyiv time, and the talks will take place without the press present.
