Zelenskyy arrives in New York for UN General Assembly

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in the United States on an official visit. He plans to take part in the UN General Assembly session and several other events, Zelenskyy announced.
The President noted that he arrived together with First Lady Olena Zelenska and the team in New York to participate in the autumn session of the UN General Assembly, the first summit at the level of leaders of the Coalition for the Return of Children, and the annual summit of the Crimea Platform, which in 2025 will for the first time take place on a global stage.
The Head of State defined the purpose of the trip as "to emphasize the global nature of the changes caused by this war – the war that Russia began in Crimea."
"We remember the roots of Russian aggression. We are doing everything to stop the war. We are working to guarantee long-term security for all Ukrainian children. Support from partners is needed. And such new support will definitely be the result of this diplomatic week," Zelenskyy said.
He added that nearly two dozen meetings are planned during the visit and that "a busy few days lie ahead."
"Ukraine must become stronger. Thank you to everyone who helps!" the President stressed.
