Aid from Canada
Canada remains a key partner for Ukraine in energy security. The new funding is intended not only to repair damaged infrastructure but also to enhance the energy system’s resilience against potential future attacks.
At the same time, Canada refused to supply repaired armored personnel carriers to Ukraine and terminated its contract with the contractor. According to Minister of Defense David McGuinty, nearly two years ago, the Ministry of Defense had transferred 25 decommissioned vehicles to Armatec Survivability in Dorchester for repair and modernization.
In August of this year, Canada announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine.
