The Ukrainian delegation will meet with US envoys again. The talks will take place in the United States on October 9 and 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, according to Reuters.

Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian negotiators will meet with the US envoys on Friday and Saturday. They will urge the United States to increase pressure on Russia.

"One cannot, on the one hand, negotiate with the Russians about future economic projects, whilst on the other hand say that we find ourselves in some sort of... diplomatic stalemate," Zelenskyy said during a visit to Pryluky with British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband.

Yesterday, Russia carried out a deadly strike on the city, killing 22 people, including five children.

The president proposed that the United States shut down Russia's entire economy and silence it.

Zelenskyy urged the United States to stop supporting Russia through its sales and impose sanctions on Russian weapons.

The president also noted that the United States must increase pressure through measures such as:

  • Sanctions,

  • Financial assistance,

  • Separate assistance for Ukraine's air defense.

According to Zelenskyy, these steps would send a clear message to Putin and force him to sit down at the negotiating table.

The United States has not abandoned the idea of a trilateral meeting with envoys of Ukraine and Russia to reach an agreement on an energy ceasefire. The meeting could take place in Abu Dhabi.

In addition, following meetings in Moscow and Kyiv, the US side reported progress in the peace process and in coordinating the schedule for the next round of negotiations.
