Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the new meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) in the Ramstein format.

"The Minister of Defense also informed about the organization of the next Ramstein – we are preparing for Brussels," Zelenskyy said.

The president also announced that the Ministry of Defense is working on replenishing stockpiles of air defense ammunition.

"Right now, Defense Minister Umerov has reported to me on the progress of air defense tasks – missiles for Iris-T, NASAMS, and SAMP-T. There are good results in contracting artillery: additional shells will be provided for our army," he added.

Additionally, according to Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian authorities are working on "a specific system of security guarantees for Ukraine."

"This week, there was a meeting of military representatives in France, and a meeting in the UK is being prepared. The first steps regarding security guarantees are being taken," the president emphasized.

Zelenskyy further stated that Ukraine receives new signals of support almost every day: new defense packages, proposals for joint diplomatic work, and partners’ willingness to be more active.

"We will do everything to further intensify diplomacy. We will do everything to make diplomacy effective. But every day now is about defending our independence, our state, and our people. We must remember – it is the support of our army, all our defense and security forces, and our state that determines everything," Zelenskyy said.

Ramstein meeting

On February 12, the 26th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format occurred at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

This was the first meeting after the inauguration of US President Donald Trump. The new Pentagon chief, Pete Hegseth, represented the US.

Notably, this Ramstein meeting was chaired by both the US and the UK for the first time.

Later, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov shared the main outcomes of the Ramstein meeting.

Umerov also emphasized that the Ramstein mechanism is critically important for coordinating international aid to Ukraine. This format remains key to supporting defense efforts.
