Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will participate in the Ramstein format meeting, scheduled for tomorrow, January 9, according to the president's evening address.

"Tomorrow, I will attend the Ramstein format meeting, with planned discussions involving defense ministers and military commanders from partner nations," President Zelenskyy stated.

He noted that Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov is already in Germany and has started holding preliminary meetings.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine's key priorities are strengthening air defense and pushing Russian military aviation away from Ukrainian cities and borders.

"This is achievable if partners now implement the agreements we have been discussing for a long time," the president added.

Additionally, Zelenskyy clarified that the Ramstein discussions will address how defense coalitions will function in 2025.

"Europe has only one choice — a historic choice — to become stronger, more self-reliant, and to rely more on itself. We need to be mature in this world and ready to make our European contribution to global security. This is the right path for everyone in Europe," the president remarked.
