The Ukraine Defense Contact Group will meet again tomorrow, January 9, at the Ramstein Air Base. However, this meeting could be the last in this format, the Polish media 300 Polityka reports, citing Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Minister of National Defense of Poland.

"This could be the last such meeting, as the new US administration is likely to propose a different form of this activity. I believe that NATO should take on a greater burden, as it has already taken on a greater role this year in the activities related to the airfield defense in Jasionka," said the Minister of National Defense of Poland.

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz reminded that his country, along with Germany and Italy, is currently leading a coalition of armored forces. As a result, he plans to present the achievements already made during the full-scale war at the Ramstein meeting.

Ramstein meeting

Tomorrow, another meeting in the Ramstein format will take place. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will also attend, marking this meeting as his last in this role.

As the reports indicate, plans for Ukraine's defense capabilities until 2027 will be drawn up during the Ramstein meeting. In particular, the United States may announce a significant aid package for Kyiv.
