Zelenskyy and UK prime minister agree on new drone protection technology

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the United Kingdom's new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, during his visit to Britain, according to the Ukrainian president.
According to Zelenskyy, he met with Burnham at the Portsmouth Naval Base aboard the Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth.
The president noted that the Ukrainian delegation's visit was the first since Andy Burnham took office as prime minister. Burnham reaffirmed that the UK's support for Ukraine remains unwavering.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed Ukraine's defense. According to Zelenskyy, a key topic was the development of joint defense production.

"I am grateful to the United Kingdom for today's decision to provide Ukraine with electronic warfare technologies to protect Ukrainian drones. This will certainly be useful on the battlefield. Together, we can achieve even more in the field of drones and other technologies," Zelenskyy wrote.
British media had announced Zelenskyy’s visit to the UK as early as this morning.
Starmer's resignation
Keir Starmer announced his resignation as UK Prime Minister on June 22.
The move came after his Labour Party suffered a defeat in local elections.
Andy Burnham, previously the Mayor of Manchester, was subsequently appointed as the UK's new Prime Minister.
