President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders are trying to revise the US peace plan by November 27 to make it fair for Kyiv, according to Bloomberg.

European leaders are desperately trying to buy Ukraine more time to work out a new ceasefire deal with Russia after the Trump administration set a deadline of Thanksgiving, November 27.

Therefore, Zelenskyy and the leaders of France, Germany, and other European countries are rushing to edit the US demands so that Ukraine will agree to the 28-point plan by next Thursday.

Their approach, according to sources, is cautious: to essentially rewrite most of the document, but present it as constructive updates.

US peace plan

American and Russian officials have developed a peace plan to end Russia's war against Ukraine. It consists of 28 points and has been approved by US President Donald Trump.

The US has acknowledged that the plan is not easy for Ukraine, but believes that the war must end and that if this does not happen, Ukraine is likely to lose even more territory.

In particular, the plan provides for the transfer of part of the Donbas territories to Russia in exchange for providing Ukraine and the EU with long-term security guarantees, reducing the Ukrainian army, renouncing long-range weapons, etc.

The US is calling on Ukraine to agree to the peace plan by November 27.

However, the plan was immediately met with harsh criticism from both Ukraine and Europe. Even the US Congress is dissatisfied with the plan.

In addition, Russians are likely to have been involved in drafting the plan, as indicated by some strange phrases in the document. Western media suspect that some of them appear to have been originally written in Russian.

At the same time, European leaders are developing their own plan to end the war in Ukraine, which should be more beneficial for Kyiv.

In turn, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed all Ukrainians regarding the US peace plan. He stressed that the country may now face a tough choice.

Next week, Zelenskyy will discuss the peace plan with Trump.
