Zelenskyy addresses rumors about Trump call on striking Putin’s 'home'

US President Donald Trump, in his contacts with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy, did not say anything about the need to strike at Russian President Vladimir Putin’s "home," according to Zelenskyy’s interview with Axios.
During a conversation with Zelenskyy, an Axios journalist asked about an alleged statement by Trump regarding strikes on "Putin’s home."
According to him, he had information that the US president said this in one of his recent phone calls with the Ukrainian leader.
Zelenskyy replied that that was not true.
Strikes on Russia
Earlier, Zelenskyy stated that Russian officials working in the Kremlin would have to figure out the location of the nearest bomb shelters if Russia does not stop the war.
The Ukrainian leader said that Ukraine has explicit support from Donald Trump regarding strikes on targets located in the aggressor state, including arms factories and energy infrastructure.
Zelenskyy emphasized that once Ukraine receives additional long-range weapons from the United States, they will definitely be used.
Russia reports almost daily about new Ukrainian drone attacks. Ukraine’s Defense Forces are striking oil depots, refineries, defense plants, strategic enterprises, and logistical hubs.
As reported, in November 2024, the US authorized Ukraine to strike targets on the territory of the aggressor state with ATACMS missiles.
The first was a military facility in the Bryansk region, which was hit on the night of November 19. On November 20, it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out their first Storm Shadow strike on Russian territory.
The media also reported that Ukraine received similar permission from the governments of the United Kingdom and France.
