Ukrainian defenders on March 10 struck a Russian military plant in Bryansk, which produces key components for missiles, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in response to journalists’ questions.
The head of state said that Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi reported a successful operation carried out by Ukrainian army.
"The Bryansk plant was hit. This plant produced guidance systems for all types of Russian missiles. I can congratulate our Armed Forces, well done!" Zelenskyy said.
He did not provide further details.
Rumors about the attack
The President’s statement came after videos of missile strikes on Bryansk circulated online.

Telegram channels claimed the target was the Kremniy plant, where Russia manufactures air defense components.
Meanwhile, Bryansk Governor Oleksandr Bogomaz reported alleged hits on civilians, stating that "there are dead and injured."
It is important to note that missile guidance systems are responsible for navigation, guidance, and autopilot. Without them, a missile is just a piece of metal with explosives and an engine.
Recently, Ukrainian forces also struck a Shahed drone launch site near Donetsk airport using long-range SCALP and ATACMS missiles.
The attack caused a large fire and secondary detonation at the site.
