Zelenskyy shares details of new economic partnership with US

The new agreement with the United States has become stronger and more equal, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address.
According to Zelenskyy, today Ukrainian officials briefed him on the agreement with the US, including Ukraine's representatives involved in negotiations with Washington.
"The document has become significantly stronger, more equal, and it could be beneficial for both our nations: Ukraine and the US. First of all, I want to thank our teams," Zelenskyy said.
Minerals deal
In February, Ukraine and the US had planned to sign a framework agreement on cooperation in the field of rare earth minerals. However, due to the conflict between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump that arose during their meeting at the White House on March 28, no agreement was reached. Following the dispute, Washington sent Kyiv an updated draft agreement on mineral extraction.
Recently, the US provided Ukraine with a new version of the document, and the two sides held a technical online meeting to discuss the terms of cooperation.
According to Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Kyiv has already formulated its position on the future agreement and is preparing a delegation for negotiations in Washington. Ukraine has allocated $2.8 million for the preparation of the deal.
Earlier, Trump also stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should immediately sign the minerals deal.
