Zelenskyy names surprising outcome of Putin's war for Russia

Russia, because of its war against Ukraine, is now forced to import gasoline instead of selling it, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address.
The head of state said that today he received reports on Ukrainian strikes against Russian energy facilities, logistics, and the fuel sector. Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainian defenders for their accuracy.
He stressed that Russia chooses war, destroys Ukrainian lives, and must be held accountable for it. Therefore, long-range capabilities will be increased.
"Russia is importing gasoline from different regions: from Asia, including China and other countries, and from Europe, including Belarus. This is one of the results of Putin’s war — the 'gas station country' is no longer selling but importing gasoline. These are the right results of the work of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces, our intelligence, and our Ukrainian arms producers," Zelenskyy said.
Fuel crisis in Russia
After a series of successful Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries, Moscow imposed a full ban on gasoline exports starting August 1.
This week, Russian authorities decided to extend those restrictions until the end of the year.
At the same time, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, limits were introduced on gasoline purchases — no more than 20 liters per person.
Meanwhile, on October 3, sources told RBC-Ukraine that Ukrainian drones struck one of Russia’s leading refineries — Orsknefteorgsintez.
