Zaporizhzhia hit by Russian attack, homes damaged and fires reported

The enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia on the night of December 24 following a threat from tactical aviation. Local authorities had reported shortly before the strikes about the possible use of guided aerial bombs, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
“The Russian forces struck one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia. Preliminary reports indicate a residential building was damaged,” Fedorov wrote.
According to him, at least three enemy strikes were carried out on the regional center. Emergency services are working at the sites of the incidents. The extent of the damage is still being determined.
Later, the head of the Regional Military Administration reported that the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia caused fires in garages and vehicles.
“Preliminarily, no casualties,” Fedorov said.

The head of the Regional Military Administration wrote that, so far, two people have been reported injured - a man and a woman. They are receiving all necessary assistance.
In addition, Fedorov shared the first footage of the aftermath of the Russian strike. The photos show that the building was indeed damaged, and vehicles were on fire due to the attack.

For example, on December 19, when Ukrainians celebrated St. Nicholas Day according to the old calendar, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia, resulting in five injuries, including a child.
On December 17, Russian forces carried out airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia. The attacks caused significant damage to a high-rise building and one of the city’s infrastructure facilities.
