Today, on December 21, in the evening, the Russian Federation launched an attack on Zaporizhzhia, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Yuriy Malashko.

"At 18:38, a missile strike was carried out by Russian forces on the regional center," he wrote.

According to him, civilian infrastructure was affected as a result of the attack, but information about casualties has not been received.

The type of missile used in the strike is currently under investigation.

Night drone attack

During the night, Russians deployed 35 kamikaze drones over Ukraine from three directions: Cape Chauda (Crimea), Prymorsko-Akhtarsk, and Kursk (Russia). The drone attack occurred in waves at different times between 20:00 on December 20 and 03:30 on December 21.

As noted by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 34 Shaheds were shot down.

In the Poltava region, debris from the downed drones fell onto a residential building, causing damage.

In the Kyiv region, a fire broke out at a warehouse due to the falling debris of Shaheds Several neighboring buildings and 8 cars were also damaged.
