Young Ukrainian gymnast smashes previous world record three times

Six-year-old athlete from Lviv, Rehina Abramova, set a new world record by completing 223 pull-ups with a flip on the bar. With this extraordinary achievement, the young gymnast more than doubled the previous world record, according to the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

Regina Abramova demonstrated incredible stamina, completing the exercise 223 consecutive times.
The previous world record in this discipline was also held by Ukrainian athlete Nicole Knyazieva.
In 2017, at the age of seven, she completed 88 pull-ups with a flip. Rehina thus shattered that record nearly three times over.

This is the fourth record for the young Ukrainian
For the six-year-old from Lviv, this is already her fourth officially recorded achievement. At the age of five, Rehina Abramova set three national records in Ukraine:
- "Longest body hold in a straight inverted position on rings by a child." She held it for 5 minutes and 52 seconds.
- Youngest child to climb Mount Hoverla independently, completing the entire route without assistance in 2 hours 29 minutes.
- At age five, she performed 55 pull-ups with a flip on the bar (national record).
Rehina trains 6-7 hours a day
"Rehina practices artistic gymnastics at the Children's and Youth Sports School. She trains under Oksana Khandoha for 6-7 hours a day," said Roman Khimiak, director of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
The young athlete dreams of becoming an Olympic champion and dedicates her records and achievements to Ukraine and its defenders.
