During the Russian attack on Kyiv on September 7, a pregnant woman was injured in the capital — unfortunately, she died, according to the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.
According to the police, the woman died today in the hospital. It is currently known that her child remains in critical condition in intensive care.
Background
On the night of September 7, Russia carried out a massive combined attack on Ukraine, using over 800 aerial assault weapons, including cruise and ballistic missiles. That same night set a new record for the number of drones used, half of which were Shahed-type drones.
The drones hit residential high-rises in the Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts. In addition, Russia attacked a government building in central Kyiv for the first time.
It was reported that 20 people were injured and 2 others were killed — a mother and her three-month-old son.
Among the injured was a 24-year-old pregnant woman. She was diagnosed with blast injuries, burn disease (95% of her body affected), and deep burns. She underwent a cesarean section, which further worsened her condition.
