Members of the American delegation reported to US President Donald Trump on their meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow, Reuters reports.

"The United States and Russia participated in a thorough, productive meeting. Special envoy Witkoff and Mr. Kushner briefed the President and the Ukrainians afterwards," an unnamed White House representative told the outlet.

He did not disclose further details about Witkoff and Kushner’s briefing.

Witkoff and Kushner's meeting with Putin

Yesterday, December 2, US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and the American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner were in Moscow, where they met with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

The main topic of discussion was the possibility of achieving peace between Ukraine and Russia. In particular, in addition to the initial 28-point US peace plan, the Russian side was given four more documents.

Following the meeting, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said that no compromises were reached between the Russians and the Americans. However, both sides see prospects for continuing the talks.

He added that Putin discussed several options for resolving the war against Ukraine with Witkoff and Kushner.

Today, December 3, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that Witkoff called the Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, and said the talks were successful.

At the same time, according to Sybiha, Witkoff did not disclose any details for security reasons.

The Ukrainian delegation was also invited to visit the United States again to continue negotiations on the peace plan.
