Rumors appeared online claiming that Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha would soon be dismissed. This information is false, said presidential adviser Dmytro Lytvyn.

Rumors about Sybiha’s resignation

Earlier, claims circulated that Ukraine would soon have a new Foreign Minister.

"Perhaps the nomination will be submitted to Parliament together with candidates for justice and energy ministers. Possibly even next week. The name, of course, is an open secret — Sergiy Kyslytsya (First Deputy Foreign Minister)," head of the Board of the Institute of World Policy, Viktor Shlinchak said. According to him, Sybiha supposedly wants to become Ukraine’s ambassador to Poland, and an agrément has already been issued.

Shlinchak also spread claims that Ukraine's ambassador to the US, Olha Stefanishyna, has not yet presented her credentials, allegedly indicating that another candidate might be sent to Washington.

He further speculated about possible changes to the structure of the Presidential Office.

"It could become a President's Cabinet, where the public would be shown a model of the 'collective Yermak' (a former head of the Presidential Office - ed.)," he added.

Lytvyn’s response

Commenting on the rumors, Lytvyn stressed that there are no plans to replace the head of the Foreign Ministry.

"This man cannot have real information about personnel decisions; he has no source," the presidential adviser said.

He added that Stefanishyna is "doing fine" in the United States, and no one has discussed any new structure for the Presidential Office — a new head must be appointed first.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the search for Yermak's replacement was taking longer because the issue is not a current priority.
