The possibility of US President Donald Trump attending the May 9 parade in Moscow has not been discussed between the two countries, stated Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, according to Interfax.

"Nothing was said about this," Peskov told reporters when asked about Trump's potential participation in the May 9 parade.

Rumors of Trump’s visit

Earlier, in late February, Le Point reported that US President Donald Trump might travel to Moscow on May 9 to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Journalists claimed that Trump wants to "celebrate a common victory" in the context of ongoing negotiations to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Trump later responded to the rumors, saying he is not going to Moscow on May 9.

Notably, since his inauguration, Trump has not made any foreign visits. His first trip abroad is expected to be to Saudi Arabia. Rumors suggest that a meeting between Trump and Putin could take place there.

As of now, the exact dates of the visit remain unknown. The White House has said the trip may happen in April. After Saudi Arabia, Trump is expected to travel to the UAE and Qatar.
