US President Donald Trump does not plan to attend the Victory Day parade in Moscow on May 9. Earlier, several media outlets had speculated about the possibility of such a trip, according to a post by correspondent Fraser Jackson on the social media platform X.

When asked whether he would be traveling to Moscow, the US president responded, "No, I'm not."

Earlier, on February 21, some French media outlets reported that Donald Trump would join Vladimir Putin in Moscow on May 9 to honor the victims of World War II.

Trump's controversial statements about Ukraine

Donald Trump continues to make pro-Russian statements and sharply criticize Ukraine's leadership.

In particular, the US president stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not necessarily need to participate in negotiations to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Additionally, the US may cease its involvement in the program aimed at holding Russia accountable for war crimes. Trump has effectively refused to recognize Russia as an aggressor state.
