Trump may come to Moscow on 9 May 9 – Le Point

US President Donald Trump is "most likely to visit" Moscow on May 9, where he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Le Point.
The media outlet claims that unnamed sources revealed information about Trump’s visit to Moscow.
Le Point writes that in this way, Trump and Putin will "celebrate a shared victory" in peace negotiations to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Journalists note that this "would not be the first time" a US leader visits Moscow on May 9. Notably, Bill Clinton accepted Boris Yeltsin’s invitation to visit Moscow on May 9, 1995, to mark the first decade since the end of World War II after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Trump's plans to visit Moscow
US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call on February 12, during which they agreed on mutual visits.
Meanwhile, a week ago, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Putin would be happy to welcome Trump in Moscow on May 9 if the corresponding decision is made.
Additionally, the Financial Times, citing unnamed officials, reported that Trump and Putin are allegedly planning to achieve a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia by Easter (April 20) or May 9.
Notably, Trump’s special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, has already visited Moscow.
