Moldova will comply with international human rights law regarding Ukrainian men who fled abroad from mobilization, according to Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

The Moldovan Prime Minister was asked to comment on the possibility of returning Ukrainian men to their homeland.

“Ukraine has such requests regarding all countries where Ukrainians are present. We, like everyone else, adhere to international rules and human rights. We will act in accordance with the laws that exist in international law,” he said.

Journalists clarified whether this means Moldova will not extradite Ukrainian conscripts with Ukrainian citizenship to Ukraine.

“We will adhere to international human rights legislation,” Rechan reiterated.
