White House reveals timing of Trump’s meetings with Zelenskyy and Putin

A meeting is expected between US President Donald Trump, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy. These could take place in the coming days, the Fox News reports, citing the White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
The United States expects President Donald Trump to soon hold meetings with Putin and Zelenskyy.
"We expect these meetings to take place very soon, especially the meeting with President Zelenskyy," Leavitt said.
The White House Press Secretary also noted that Trump is eager for the signing of an agreement between Kyiv and Washington regarding rare earth metals.
Leavitt mentioned that Trump expects President Zelenskyy to sign the agreement, considering it the right step given the assistance that US taxpayers have provided to Ukraine.
"If there were not for the American people, Ukraine wouldn't be a country anymore, President Trump knows that," the White House Press Secretary emphasized.
White House statements
Earlier, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that US President Donald Trump is confident in his ability to strike a deal with Russia to end the conflict in Ukraine, noting that the war could end as soon as next week. Her comments came after Trump’s statements that President Zelenskyy "has no cards" and should refrain from negotiating with international leaders on further peace talks.
Trump himself has not mentioned a specific timeline for ending the war. Leavitt also mentioned that National Security Advisor Mike Waltz will be working non-stop this weekend on the agreement, and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is participating in discussions regarding an agreement between Ukraine and the US on mineral extraction, including agreements related to mineral resources.
