Iran’s state television has reported on an alleged draft memorandum between Tehran and Washington, said to be under discussion as part of negotiations aimed at ending hostilities. The United States has responded, according to Reuters.

According to media reports, the document allegedly includes the restoration of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of a US naval blockade on Iranian vessels.

The report also claimed that a possible withdrawal of US forces from the region was being discussed. However, it stressed that the agreement has not yet been finalized.

Washington responded quickly to the publication. The White House called such claims about agreements a "complete fabrication."

Later, Iranian representative Ali Bagheri Kani stated that no final agreements on the Strait of Hormuz have been reached.

"As long as we have not agreed on all issues, we consider that nothing has been agreed," he said.

One of the key issues in the negotiations remains the resumption of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant share of global oil and gas supplies passes. Amid reports of possible progress in talks, oil prices fell by more than 5%.

Washington and Tehran are discussing a possible settlement plan under which the Strait of Hormuz could be reopened for shipping roughly one month after an agreement on a ceasefire is reached.

In addition, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian ordered the restoration of international internet access after nearly 90 days of major restrictions and nationwide blocking.
