US President Donald Trump has noticed that Russian leader Vladimir Putin has changed dramatically over the past year, according to first deputy head of the Presidential Office Sergiy Kyslytsya.
The US knows Russia is losing the war against Ukraine
According to him, Trump has a very clear understanding of the situation in Russia's war against Ukraine.
Trump said that Putin today and Putin a year ago are two different people, Kyslytsya recalled.
He also stressed that the White House sees all of the Kremlin leader's setbacks. For example, the fact that Russia has still failed to capture Donbas.
The Americans see whose side Russia was on in Iran, Kyslytsya noted. They see how Putin lost the elections in Yerevan. They see the economic situation in Russia.
Moreover, the US cannot ignore Ukraine's impressive successes in carrying out deep and middle strikes.
This creates a picture where, at the very least, Putin is not winning the war, and most likely he is losing it, Kyslytsya stressed.
What is the spirit of Anchorage?
As the official explained, it refers to a certain Russian scheme.
Who first brought these schemes to whom, showed them, and laid out the cards, Kyslytsya doesn't know.
In his opinion, everything is generally explained by the words of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about Anchorage.
The latter recently made it clear that there had been no agreement between Trump and Putin in Alaska.
"And I think that was a very important message from Washington," Kyslytsya concluded.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Kyslytsya predicted the collapse of the Russian economy.
