What happens if Putin dares to attack NATO - Secretary General responds

If Russia attacks NATO territory, the Kremlin will face a powerful response. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin knows this.
"If Putin would think that he can, without huge risk to his own country and his own military, attack one square kilometer of NATO territory, he will face the full onslaught of NATO on Russia. He knows this. And he will not dare to do it," Rutte said, commenting on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's statement regarding intel that Russia may be planning an attack on another NATO country within the next year.
Rutte noted that the Alliance's deterrence capabilities are currently "in a very good condition."
"The problem is that in four or five years, it is not if we do not make the necessary decisions now," he emphasized.
Possible Russian attack on NATO
Earlier, Zelenskyy stated that, according to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia plans to train approximately 150,000 additional troops in Belarus this year. The President did not rule out the possibility that after completing their training, Russia might attempt to attack another NATO country.
Zelenskyy also expressed doubts about the readiness of European armies for a possible attack and how quickly allies would respond if Russia conducted an operation under a false flag or with unmarked troops, as it did in Crimea in 2014
