In Kyiv, as a result of a massive Russian attack during the night of September 7, a nine-story building in the Sviatoshynskyi district was damaged. A fire broke out there.

Around 3:50 a.m. Kyiv time, during a drone attack, local authorities reported a strike on a nine-story residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, a 16-story building in the same district was also hit. The State Emergency Service noted that several high-rise buildings were damaged in Borshchahivka, Kyiv.

In the nine-story building, a fire broke out from the sixth to the ninth floors, and some floor slabs were partially destroyed. Several nearby parked cars were also damaged or destroyed.

Residents of the damaged building were evacuated. As of 8:00 a.m. Kyiv time, rescuers are still extinguishing the fire at the site of the strike.

Overall, according to rescuers, the Russian drone and missile strikes on Kyiv killed two people, and 18 others were injured.

Strike on Ukraine

During the night of September 7, Russia launched 805 drones and 13 missiles at Ukraine. Air defense forces intercepted most of the targets, but some strikes were successful.

Kyiv was hit, with strikes recorded in several districts. For the first time since the war began, Russia attacked the Cabinet of Ministers building.
