What Aniston told Jolie after breakup with Pitt: Conversation that remained secret for years

The breakup of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt once rocked Hollywood. And the conversation between Aniston and Angelina Jolie was kept under wraps for a long time. It has now come to light what exactly Aniston said to her future rival—before she knew about the affair, reports LADbible.
The divorce of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt in 2005 was one of the biggest celebrity stories in Hollywood. The couple, who had married in July 2000, announced their separation after five years of marriage.
At the time, Pitt was already spending a lot of time with Angelina Jolie, his co-star in the film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith". This "love triangle" caused a media frenzy and even led to T-shirts printed with "Team Aniston" and "Team Jolie."
In her first major interview after the breakup, Aniston revealed that she had only met Jolie once, before she learned about Jolie and Pitt's close relationship.
It happened on the set of "Friends". Jennifer approached, greeted her, and said a few words.
"Brad is so excited about working with you. I hope you guys have a really good time," the actress recalled.
She noted that she believed in her marriage to Pitt and thought it was solid and genuine.

When asked whether she trusted Pitt’s claims that there had been no cheating, Aniston said she did.
"I choose to believe my husband. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised by anything, but I would much rather choose to believe him," she said.
As for the reason for their breakup, Aniston didn’t give a direct answer.
"I think—it changed. We both changed. You do the best you can, and I think we did. We did the best we could," she emphasized.
As a reminder, in 2006, Jolie confirmed she was pregnant with Pitt’s child, and their relationship became official. The couple married in 2014 but filed for divorce in 2016, citing "irreconcilable differences." Legal proceedings dragged on for years, and it wasn’t until late 2024 that the marriage was officially dissolved.
