Today, it became known that their marriage has been officially dissolved. According to Jolie's attorney, James Simon, the divorce was finalized on December 30.
"More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children retained all the property they shared with Mr. Pitt, and since then, she has focused on her family. Honestly, Angelina is utterly exhausted, but she is relieved that this part is over," the lawyer stated.
The former spouses will continue legal disputes over the Miraval Château in France. According to a source, Angelina has tried hard to remain positive even during the darkest moments.

"She has not spoken badly about Pitt either publicly or in private conversations. The children have grown up seeing that some people wield so much power that their voices mean nothing. Their pain means nothing. They wanted Angelina to speak out for herself, to protect herself all these years. But she reminded them of the need to change laws, not to share stories publicly," an insider close to the actress shared.
It’s worth noting that Jolie and Pitt began dating in 2004 after playing a married couple in the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. However, they only married in 2014. They have six children together.
