Following a massive Russian attack on Ukraine, which began this morning, the water supply in Zhytomyr was temporarily suspended, citing the municipal utility Zhytomyrvodokanal.

The city lost power as a result of the Russian attack, leading to the suspension of water supply.

"Dear citizens, due to a power outage in the city caused by a missile attack, the water supply in Zhytomyr is currently suspended," the statement said.

The water utility also mentioned that more information regarding the restoration of the water supply will be provided later.

Massive Russian shelling of Ukraine on August 26

On the morning of Monday, August 26, Russians launched a massive attack on Ukrainian territory using attack drones and cruise missiles. Overnight, reports indicated the launch of 10 Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers and the deployment of enemy ships armed with Kalibr missiles in the Black Sea.

Earlier, it was reported that power outages occurred in Kyiv and several regions as a result of the Russian shelling. In some parts of the capital, water supply was also temporarily suspended. Meanwhile, Ukrainian Railways reported power outages affecting trains.
